Offshore wind posts historic low bids in CfD auction
DONG Energy’s 1.386GW Hornsea 2 development, EDPR’s 950MW Moray Firth and Innogy-Statkraft’s 860MW Triton Knoll have all won offshore wind Cfd contracts in the UK’s second auction for the incentives, with winning bids as much as 50% lower than rates seen in the inaugural competition in 2015.
