JP Morgan-backed IPP Sonnedix has acquired an additional 46.7MW of Spanish PV, taking installed capacity in the country to 214.2MW.
The acquisitions of the 12 plants, which took place at the end of 2017, takes the group’s global operational portfolio to 703MW in size.
Recent Spanish assets acquired include the 32.9MW, six-plant project Summa portfolio, located across Badajoz, Albacete and Cuenca, in addition to a further six plants located across Avila, Jaen, Badajoz, Lleida and Valencia.
The deals were all executed under an existing collaboration with Q-Energy, which manages Sonnedix’s Vela Energy portfolio and which previously co-led a bond issuance by Sonnedix in Spain.
Sonnedix and Q-Energy were advised by Cuatrecasas, Perez Llorca, Gomez-Acebo & Pombo, Uria Menéndez and Garrigues (legal), G-Advisory and Altermia (technical), PWC, KPMG and Deloitte (accounting / tax).
