NextEnergy Capital promotes Grier to UK MD
UK-based solar investor and asset manager NextEnergy Capital Group has promoted Ross Grier to the role of UK managing director.
Grier joined NextEnergy Capital in 2013 from developer Shape Energy Partners, and was part of the team which participated in the IPO of NextEnergy Solar Fund.
His promotion follows the departure of former UK MD Abid Kazim in May to become chief executive officer of asset manager and advisor WiseEnergy, an affiliate of NextEnergy.
Founded in 2008, WiseEnergy provides a range of technical, financial, administrative and operational services to renewable energy project owners.
