French consolidation no check on investment opportunities
EDF, Engie and Total have all ramped up their French renewable energy acquisition activity in recent quarters, potentially narrowing the field for financial investors. Yet despite this increased consolidation, the country continues to present investment opportunities for fund managers. The strong entrepreneurial flair in evidence in the sector, not to mention low barriers to entry, suggests independent development is likely to remain in rude health for the foreseeable future
