Potegowo wind FC provides hope for Polish renewables future
The EBRD played a catalytic role in supporting Mashav Energia’s successful financing of its 220MW Potegowo onshore wind farm this week (April 30), tying in commercial bank debt from a four-strong group of both domestic and international lenders. Potegowo is also the first renewables scheme to have successfully secured project finance out of Poland’s new auction-based support system launched in 2018, suggesting that momentum in the country is starting to build. Further financings from the competition are expected to follow in the coming months
