Onshore wind, solar PV set for UK CfD return
Onshore wind and solar PV projects will be able to compete in the UK’s next CfD auction, which is set to take place in 2021, under new plans announced by the department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) on Monday (March 2).
The measures, which include potential revisions concerning how fixed and floating offshore wind sectors are treated and are now out for industry consultation, will help the UK in its efforts to quadruple renewable energy generation and hit its net zero targets by 2050, the body said.
