Most UK solar investors have to date struggled to make the numbers work in the post-subsidy world. And prospects for the nascent sector have been dampened further by the coronavirus pandemic, given the much publicised drop off in power prices that ensued as a result of the lockdown and other social distancing measures taken. But a spike in solar pipeline trading in recent months – with several further sizeable portfolios currently on the block – would suggest that the market is set to take off in a big way once conditions improve
