Irish renewables dealflow buoyed by RESS 1 success
With Ireland having confirmed the winning bidders from its inaugural RESS auction in August last week (September 10) the country is set to become a European financing hotspot over the coming months, as developers either look to source debt to realise their projects and/or sell the developments on to third-party investors. In addition, Ireland’s PPA market is also showing increasing signs of life, with at least two onshore wind project sponsors having opted to negotiate corporate offtake deals this summer rather than go down the RESS route
