Ireland heads toward RESS 2 in uncertain times

Ireland’s renewables market finally got the news it had been waiting for at the end of October, with the country’s Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) and grid operator Eirgrid unfurling a bidding timeline for the second edition of the Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) auction programme which should see “RESS 2” winning bidders announced in June 2022.
